Mission

The mission of the U.S. Army Research Institute for the Behavioral and Social Sciences (ARI) is to maximize individual and unit performance and readiness to meet the full range of Army operations through advances in the behavioral and social sciences.

ARI-Orlando Research Unit Objectives:

• Develop effective training methods for distributed virtual and game-based simulations
• Improve automated ability to assess performance and tailor training to diagnosed needs

Orlando Research Unit Programs

Distributed Training in Virtual Environments:

• Determine effective training and feedback methods for remotely located units. In collaboration with: STTC
• Army Medical Department and School

Adaptive Training for Cognitive Skills

• Develop intelligent tutor systems to: Train Battle Captains
• Develop intelligent tutor systems to: Train Tactical Command of Small Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS)
